Kiln dried logs are clean-burning with high heat output and leave less flue and chimney residue than seasoned or semi-seasoned firewood. Although it is almost certainly cheaper to buy firewood that has not been dried properly, the cost is lower heat output and potential damage to your chimney flue can make poor quality firewood far more costly in the long run.
Proper Logs began after doing research to determine prices, quantity and quality of hardwood logs in our area. It became clear that the standard of firewood available varied considerably and that quality, reliability and a personal service are the ingredients for success.
